After completing the promotions of his not so impressive ‘Radhe Shyam’ actor Prabhas has evidently left the country to get his knee operated. Prabhas’s agency was instructed to deem this surgery as ‘minor’.
Although they have said that it is a minor surgery, the actor will not be shooting for 2-3 months and he has been advised complete bed rest until he recovers from the medical procedure.
That does not sound like a small injury or a minor surgery. A source close to the actor stated that the injury is indeed an old one and surgery for the same was required, but Prabhas had put it off in light of his shooting commitments.
The source said, “His leg had been injured during the action scenes of a film, ‘Saaho’ I think. He had been advised surgery a few years back. However, the treatment was not time-specific. So Prabhas postponed it until his pending projects were done. Then there were delays due to Covid. Now he’s finally gone for it.”
Given that he still has shooting pending for a couple of his major projects like 'Salaar', which is helmed by the maker of ‘KGF’, Prashanth Neel as well as ‘Project K', helmed by Ashwini Dutta, Prabhas might have to rush his recovery and rehabilitation to avoid causing delays to both the projects. Given that he has been advised nearly 3 months for recovery, if he cannot shoot until then, then it could impact the shoot schedule and subsequently the release of the two movies.
Luckily, he has completed the shoot for his next release, ‘Adipurush’, a movie in which he is playing the role of Lord Rama.
