Clean chit for Nawazuddin Siddiqui and family in molestation case

A couple of years ago in 2020, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s smallest brother, Minazuddin Siddiqui had reached out to the special POCSO court (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act Court) in Mumbai to request for anticipatory bail in an alleged molestation case of a minor girl, which is said to have happened in his family eight years ago.

The case against Minazuddin stated that he allegedly molested a minor girl in 2012 and the other members of the house were included in the complaint for ignoring Minazuddin’s conduct.

This case was filed by Nawazuddin’s ex-wife Aaliya. Now, it seems like a Muzaffarnagar court has given clean chit to Nawazuddin, his mother Mehrunissa and his brothers Minazuddin, Fayazuddin and Ayazuddin in the molestation case.

As reported by Indian Express, the court, "directed police to present the closure report and produce the complainant in the court." Nawazuddin’s wife Aaliya was the one who filed the case against all the family members. Back when the case was filed, the Allahabad High Court has stayed the arrest of Nawazuddin and his mother and two brothers, Ayazuddin and Fayazuddin. The court did not provide relief to Minazuddin, the main accused in the case.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui married Anjali in 2009 and she converted to Islam for the marriage and changed her name to Aaliya. Their marriage officially ended this year. The couple have two children, a son named Yani and a daughter named Shora.
