FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week, India’s biggest fashion event of the year has started today, March 23 in Delhi for the very first time.
The event will take place from March 23 to March 27 at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in the capital.
This year’s fashion week is season fluid and after a break due to the pandemic, this year it is back to its physical edition. The Lakme Fashion week is a bi-annual event that usually takes place in Mumbai, Maharashtra, but for the first time the Fashion Week will be held in New Delhi.
Last year the event was conducted digitally due to Covid restrictions, however, this year the 5-day event will be live and physical with India’s biggest designers and best models showcasing the best of fashion.

This year the focus of the fashion week is innovation, sustainability and inclusivity and so the showcases by the designers will include eclectic designs which will be presented on two areas – Atelier and Runway.
The show will also be streamed live on Lakme Fashion Week’s social media handles, so fashionistas can catch it live on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram handles of the organisers – Lakme Fashion Week and FDCI.

The finale of the Lakme Fashion Week will take place on Sunday, March 27.
