Karisma Kapoor was one of the superstars of Bollywood in the 90s. With superhit movies like ‘Raja Hindustani’, ‘Coolie No 1’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ and ‘Zubeidaa’ under her belt, she was known for her acting chops as well as dancing chops.
Now it seems she is back on the digital screen with another series, this time with Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo, who will be debuting on the OTT platform with this series.
Karisma Kapoor made her digital debut with the series called ‘Mentalhood. Helmed by Alt Balaji and Zee5 the series which streamed first in 2020 received lukewarm responses.
As per reports from a web portal, in this yet to be titled series helmed by Abhinay Deo, Karisma will be playing the protagonist who is a strong-willed woman but she is trapped in a frightening situation. According to latest reports, the show is expected to go on the floors sometime in April.
The series, is also going to star yesteryear actress Helen in an important role. This show will mark Helen’s return to acting after a whole decade. She was last seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s movie Heroine, which released in 2012.
Interestingly, in that movie, Helen starred alongside Karisma Kapoor’s sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan who was the lead in that movie.
Other details such as release date, character names and fellow cast members are as yet unknown. Karisma’s second OTT series will also stream on Zee5.
