Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is slowly inching towards its theatrical release, which is just about two weeks away.

Aamir Khan has done plenty to promote his latest saga and he has created the perfect amount of excitement and buzz for this official Hindi adaptation of Tom Hanks’ iconic Hollywood classic, ‘Forrest Gump’.

But Aamir Khan is as wily a businessman as he is a filmmaker and actor. First, considering that the movie would clash with Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Raksha Bandhan’ for release, Aamir signed a deal with PVR to gain preferential showcasing for his movie.

Now, in yet another move, designed to draw audiences to the theatre, it has been revealed that all those who want to skip theatres and watch ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ from the comfort of their own homes on an OTT platform will have to wait a full 6 months.

That’s right! ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ will be available for streaming digitally only six months after the movie’s theatrical release.

The build-up around ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’s’ saga is amazing and the trailers, the soundtrack, the videos have all mesmerised the audience. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has received a lot of love from audience in the lead up to its release.

It remains to be seen whether the excitement and buzz translates into full houses and packed theatres on opening weekend. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao as well as Viacom18 Studios. Besides Aamir, the movie stars Mona Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Naga Chaitanya Akkineni. This official adaptation of ‘Forrest Gump’ releases in cinemas worldwide on August 11, 2022.
