Ranbir Kapoor has been splashed across all news and media portals as the actor has been out and about promoting his movie, ‘Shamshera’ which releases today, July 22, in theatres. Ranbir has been travelling the length and breadth of the country to promote his period drama helmed by Karan Malhotra.
Recently, the ‘Wake Up Sid’ actor was in Hyderabad and during the promotions, Ranbir revealed that his favourite pan-Indian actor is Prabhas.
Ranbir was interviewed by TV9 Telugu and during the interview, the actor was asked who his favourite pan-Indian star was and he promptly replied, ‘Prabhas’.
This is not the first time Ranbir has shared his fondness for Prabhas. Earlier in the year when Ranbir was promoting ‘Brahmastra’ in Telugu speaking cities, Ranbir had shared with them that Prabhas was actually a dear friend of his.
In a video, which was shared by one of Ranbir’s fan accounts, a host of the show is seen asking Ranbir who is favourite Telugu actor is. When she asks this, the crowd starts chanting Prabhas’ name and then Ranbir says, “I would say, I also love my darling Prabhas. He is a very dear friend of mine. All of them are great but if I have to choose one, I'll say darling Prabhas.”
Prabhas is currently shooting for Nag Ashwin’s big budget sci-fi movie, ‘Project K’. The movie marks the Telugu debut of Deepika Padukone and it also stars Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Prabhas also has ‘Salaar’, helmed by ‘KGF’ director Prashant Neel and ‘Adipurush’ by Om Raut in the pipeline.
Ranbir, on the other hand, will be eagerly waiting to see how ‘Shamshera’ performs at the box office. He then has Ayan Mukherji’s ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ lined up for release in September 2022. ‘Brahmastra’ is a special movie as it is the first time that he is sharing screen space with his newlywed wife and expectant mommy Alia Bhatt.
